October 2019

We finished off September and started October celebrating Ella's birthday.
We had Taylor's parents and the Bushes over the Sunday before her birthday for some cake

She woke up on her birthday to presents and donuts.
It was a preschool day, so she got to celebrate with her classmates.
Her sweet friend, Haylin, brought her some balloons, a lollipop, and a small toy. It was so sweet of the Williams!

After preschools were over we ran to the library and then I grabbed happy meals for lunch for the kids.
Ella's birthday must have been going really good because she fell asleep in the car on the way home.

Shortly after her birthday she had her 3 year check up.
She is still measuring tall for her age, and is overall healthy!
She really loved showing off her bandaid from her flu shot the rest of the day.

Hudson passed off writing his name at preschool.
I think he started preschool being able to write it, but he had to correct the way he wrote some of the letters in order to pass it off.

I took the kids back to Upick Red Barn on another a warm fall afternoon.

We tortured Hudson with a fake spider one evening sending Ella chasing after him with it.

Hudson wrapped up his soccer season.
It really was a great experience for him.
I think he learned a lot from soccer. The teams were based on birth year, so he very often was one of if not the smallest kid playing on the field. There were quite a few games where Hudson didn't even kick the ball, and he definitely never had the opportunity to score a goal.
While he voiced his desire to kick the ball, he never really complained. He walked away from every game happy that he got to play.

I took the kids to Kaidens birthday party.
Taylor had to work so he missed it, but we had a good time.

We finally hung up shelves in the office closet.

Another project we did this month was turning the room under the stairs into an actual play house.
We (mostly Taylor) shiplap-ed the front of the house to look like siding.
I can't find a better picture right now of it finished..

I bought the foam haunted house to make with the kids as a way to pass the time during the day.
Well an evening shortly after I bought it I went to activity days amd then to pick up our groceries and the kids somehow roped Taylor into building it. He spent way too long way past bedtime making it with them, but they were so excited.

We went as Toy Story this year for Halloween.

Jessie and Buzz Lightyear

Bo Peep and her sheep (dog)
and apparently that's the best picture I got of them

We went to our ward's trunk or treat/ Halloween party.
We had a freak small snowstorm that evening, so we had to do it inside, but it all worked out.
Taylor and I actually won best couples costume with our Mr. and Mrs Potato Head shirts.

Another thing we did this month was go to Boo at the Zoo.
It was wet and definitely on the colder side, but the kids has a great time, and the zoo totally stepped it up a notch.

Halloween day was really cold this year. Taylor was the one to take the kids trick or treating. Hudson loved it, and Ella hated it because it was so cold. I stayed home with Avery and passed out candy. Hudson made it all the way down Hyrum and back.

September 2019

We went to the state fair in Blackfoot with my mom.
It was the same as always- hot and same booths.

Hudson started preschool!

He was super excited for it and not at all hesitant like I thought he might be.

Ella started joy school.
A couple of other moms and I in the neighborhood took turns teaching preschool twice a week for the sweetest group of 3 year olds.
She won't actually start preschool until fall 2020.

I took Macey to the vet for the first time.
It was a train wreck.
45 minutes before we had to leave she got herself covered in mud while I was busy watching my kids + the neighbor's kids. I quickly threw her in the tub, but naturally it was a hot mess.
The actual vet appointment was the worst thing ever, but 3 kids (1 who can't be put down because she can't walk) + a puppy all by myself was not easy.
Either way she was deemed healthy, got her rabies shot, and we were out the door.
And of course my mom got home from her little trip to Boise very shortly after we got back from the vet. So close to having help but so far.

We went out to breakfast with my mom's family (Aunt Beckie and Justin + family), made a quick trip to Target, and then we headed to community park.
Saturday's were for soccer games.
Gigi, Aunt Bekah, and Uncle Nile came to one of Hudson's games to support him while they were in town for Avery's birthday party.

We celebrated Avery's first birthday!
She had an ice cream themed party.

We grilled in the backyard while all of the kids played, ate ice cream and cake, and let her open presents.
An old neighbor of ours made Avery's cake, and it seriously could not have been more perfect!
She was happy as could be even though she didn't have a clue what was going on.

Gigi left the next day with my sister and her husband to spend some time in Utah with them and my brother before she headed back to Pennsylvania.

The kids went "camping" or at least that's what they were calling this new game that mostly involved destroying the basement.
Ella squeezed into some jammies that I accidentally put in her pile instead of Avery's.

We FINALLY tackled cleaning the other side of the basement.

The kids had another dental cleaning.

We took the kids to the Upick Red Barn one warm afternoon.
Avery LOVED the jump pillows, and Hudson really loved the giant slides.
