Love Story

a missionary

A new missionary was transferred into my ward.

I met him at church on his first Sunday there.

We got in trouble for "flirting" by the young men's leader.

18 weeks later he was transferred to a different ward. 

I never expected to hear or see from him again.

He messaged me right before I left for my first semester of school.

We wrote each other once a week the whole time I was at school.

I came home, and he told me that he couldn't write me until he was home from his mission.

I was upset, and secretly wished he would break the rules and write me. 

From January to March I waited and waited.

I knew that he was going home on March 27th. 

I didn't want to be crazy lady and message him as soon as he got home.

So I waited for three LONG days. 

I was the crazy lady freaking out while waiting. 

Finally he messaged me and gave me his number.

I then had to wait for him to text me. 

We texted every now and then until I made my road trip across country.

first date

Our first date was on the day that I arrived in Idaho. 

I felt so sick from driving in a car for three days.

I was super nervous and shy.

We went dirt biking, and then we went back to his house to watch a movie.

I met his mom that day. She sat with us for part of the movie. 

I felt so sick that I didn't eat dinner with them. That was awkward.

He drove me back to my car, and we held hands and talked the whole time. 

long distance

Our relationship was long distance from April to September.

We only saw each other one day every two weeks. 

vacation

At the end of July we took a trip to Pennsylvania together.

He told me he loved me. 

I said it back.

We then spent five weeks apart because I was in between semesters.

fall semester

Taylor started school fall semester so I got to see him every day.

I loved it. 

We grew so much closer.

engaged

I went to Taylor's parents for Thanksgiving.

His mom teaches piano and had a lesson that morning. 

He told me that he didn't want to listen to it so we went on a drive.

We drove just down the road to black canyon. 

We walked around a little, and then he said he had an important question to ask me.

I said yes.

His twin was hiding to take pictures and a video. 

It was perfect.

a wedding

We wed on a chilly April day in Idaho.

I had so much support from family.

My family flew across the country to be there for me.

The ceremony was simple and perfect.

The reception was exactly what I wanted.

I married my best friend.

In August of 2014 we were sealed in the Palmyra, New York temple.
