Another Life as of Lately Post

Well here we go again with months going by and me hardly posting a thing. Life has been busy and crazy, and I figure the easiest way to catch up if to fill you in on each of our lives again.

A picture from Taylor's birthday back in February

Taylor has been busy at work and even busier injuring himself. Within about 3 weeks he had 3 different injuries. He smashed a finger bad enough to need to go to urgent care resulting in a stitch on each side of the nail to hold it in place and eventually losing the nail. He hurt his back once again sending him to urgent care and this time putting him out of work for, thankfully, only two days thanks to a chiropractor. Lastly, he smashed his palm which left his hand bruised and tender. The life of a mechanic I tell ya. Aside from the injuries, he has grown immensely at work continually learning new skills. He is still serving in the scouts in our ward. He is constantly busy with summer house chores, but I think it's safe to say his favorite activity is coming home from work and playing with Hudson.

Mother's day! Isn't Hudson just the cutest boy ever!?

I finished student teaching which means that I finally finished school! It definitely wasn't easy, but I'm so glad to finally have that piece of paper. I now spend my days at home with Hudson while I continue to work on growing another human. It's exhausting and trying, but there is no where else I would rather be than with Hudson every day. We will see if this changes when we add another child into the mix haha. I've been spending any extra time I have working hard on a quilt for Hudson.(Pictured below) I finally finished the top, but I'm still looking for fabric I love for the back.

Trying to ditch us at church.
Also, we love that little family behind Hudson!

Hudson is a wild and rambunctious toddler who is getting closer every day to being 18 months old. How that is even possible I have no idea. He is hilarious and spunky which is a good combination because after he gives us attitude or throws a fit he always does something to make us laugh. He lives to be outside and would spend all day every day outside if I would let him. There is so much that I could say about him, but I will save it for an 18 month update that I am hoping to get done.

Baby girl is cooking nicely. Everything looked great at her ultrasound other than she is measuring a little smaller than they would like her to be. They weren't able to see all the parts of her heart with the way she was positioned, so I will get another ultrasound at my next appointment. We still haven't decided on a name for her, but hopefully soon!

Baby #2: Week 20 Bumpdate & the GENDER!

How far along? 20 weeks. HALFWAY!
Total weight gain: I'm exactly back to my pre pregnancy weight.
Maternity clothes: Give me all the maternity pants! I didn't even start wearing maternity pants until 25 weeks with Hudson, but I'm definitely embracing it this time. I just wish that they wouldn't fall down so much. I still wear my normal shirts.
Sleep: Two words: pregnancy dreams. I have such vivid and strange dreams. Sleep really hasn't been bad yet except for Hudson waking up at night lately.
Best moment this week: The anatomy ultrasound! Everything looked great, but I get to have another ultrasound at my next appointment because she couldn't see all of her heart with the way she was facing and the baby was not willing to move for her. I'm super excited to get another ultrasound.
Miss anything? Not feeling and looking so fat. I'm fine with looking pregnant, but I just feel like I look fat half of the time.
Movement: I have felt so much movement with this baby already, and I love it. I didn't feel any movement with Hudson until I was 20 weeks. I don't have an anterior placenta this time which means that I should feel lots more movement.
Food cravings: I can't think of a specific craving, but I'm so hungry allllll the time.
Anything making you sick or queasy: I was finally able to stop taking my nausea medicine at 18ish weeks. (I was only nauseous until 15 weeks with Hudson) Occasionally I will still get nauseous if I haven't eaten or if I eat too much, but it is perfectly manageable.
Gender: GIRL!!! Our private early ultrasound we had done was confirmed :D Although, we both thought that it was going to be a boy.
Labor signs: None.
Symptoms: Acne (at least it started later this pregnancy), heartburn, hip pain-my hips feel like I'm 35 weeks pregnant, emotional
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: I like to think happy, but there are too many days where I am moody whether it be with Hudson, Taylor, or both.
Looking forward to: Getting the nursery ready and buying all things girly! A striped wall and refinishing a dresser will be the first things to get done in the nursery. We already have the crib and glider from Hudson.

This pregnancy has been so similar and so different from Hudson's. I'm amazed at how much earlier I am showing with this pregnancy and truly amazed at all of the movements I feel already. I love doing the dishes and feeling her move around and kick me.

Hudson is still 90% clueless that anything is going on, but I know that he will make a great big brother. Give me allll the big brother shirts for him! I can't help myself but look for them every time I go shopping.
