12 Months of Oaklee// Month 4

Weight: 11 pounds 4.8 ounces - 4th percentile

Diapers: Size 2, but mostly because we ran out of size 1s and I kept forgetting to buy more and we have a lot of 2s on hand.

Clothes: 0-3 months/3 months

Sleeping: Oaklee sleeps swaddled in the Moses basket for naps and nighttime. She has already hit her 4 month sleep regression and has been up once if not twice every night for the last week or two. We just finished her crib last weekend, so she will be moved into it once her sleep normalizes again. She usually takes two-three naps a day with her second nap always being a few hours long. She sucks on her binky to fall asleep.

Eating: She eats 3 ounces of formula every 3ish hours during the day, and has a bottle when she wakes up at night.

Milestones: Plays with toys, got her ears pierced, first giggles

Likes: binkies, but only when she is falling asleep, grabbing my hair, play mat, jumparoo

Dislikes: baths

Between the 4 month sleep regression and her having a minor cold right now, she is currently a smidge harder than normal. Which basically means in the last few days she's been occasionally fussy and is taking shorter naps than usual. Overall, she is still pretty darn easy and happy almost all the time.

June 2020

We worked hard to finish up some big projects before the baby came.
We ordered 7 cubic yards of river rocks and filled the playground with them. We also filled around the garden boxes and a strip across the back of the yard.
We had just enough left over to fix some of our "RV pad"

Avery was the messiest helper with these projects.

I went to the last few appointments of the pregnancy which involved more non stress tests and an ultrasound at every appointment.

Oaklee Jean joined our family!
Labor and delivery went pretty smoothly, and we were excited to find out that she was a GIRL!
Read all about her birth here.

lots
and lots

and lots

and lots of baby snuggling happened.

I helped coach the kids' tee ball team.
The first game was at a week or so postpartum, so it wasn't without popping some ibuprofen before each game haha. BUT we all survived, and they both had a great time. I hope it's something they remember forever.

quite a few games were spent like this, but I wouldn't have had it any other way.

First picture as a family of six!

My mom came for a visit for almost a week.
She came out to meet Oaklee and help with the craziness.
She accompanied us to a few t ball games, took a trip to the lake with us, and spent lots of time hanging out in the backyard while the kids played.

We spent some time at Rigby lake.
It is one of the kids' favorite things to do in the summer.

We spent a lot of time in the backyard. The kids pretty much lived in their swimsuits all of June.

Oaklee met her cousin, Chloe. They are exactly one month apart!
