lds conf in Kayesville with cousins

My grandma broke her hip before coming out to Utah for a cousin's wedding that was in Colorado. Because of this she decided to extend her time out here so that she could recover around everyone out here. We decided to take advantage of this and make a weekend trip down to see her. This trip happened to align with conference weekend.

Road tripping it with a baby who slept 2.5 of the 3 hour drive.
He's a baby straight from a dream, I tell you.

Lily. Lily. Lily.
She is the most ENERGETIC child I have ever met.
Poor Hudson didn't know what hit him.
She was constantly tickling him, picking him up, playing with him, or a combination of the three.

On Saturday we watched the first session of conference and then went to Target (Super Target. You could say that I was swooning over it) and the DI. After our mini shopping excursion we headed back to the Blues house and later ended up at my Aunt Sue's house to hang out with her, my Grandma, and my cousin Nickie.

My Grandma is the spunkiest old lady.
I went from seeing her multiple times a week to multiple times a year if I'm lucky.
I'm so so grateful that we were able to see her, and that she was able to see Hudson again.

We picked apples from their big apple tree in between Sunday sessions.
Hudson was obviously a big help with the picking.
They were the best apples that I have ever tasted.
The next weekend we made delicious applesauce from their apples.

We caught the last session before heading home. My Aunt Sue and my Grandma spent Sunday at the Blues with us. We were REALLY hoping to get to attend a session while we were down there, but in the end we decided that spending time with family was more important than taking our chances in the standby line. Maybe the next session will be able to go..

All in all it was a great weekend. We were so glad that we made the choice to get away for a few days.

12 Months of Hudson// Month 10

-17.5ish pounds 28 inches
-Wears 3-6 month pants and 6-9 month onsies and shirts. He also wears a few 6-12 month pants but 6-9 month pants are too long and big.
-Drinks 3, occasionally 4, bottles a day of 7 ounces at a time.
-Loves all food except for avocadoes.
-Cries as soon as we sit down for dinner because he immediately wants us to feed him. He is the worst moocher ever.
-Can eat straight from a pouch of applesauce or other food with a little bit of help
-He's a big fan of goldfish
-LOVES to be covered with a blanket when he goes down for a nap or bed. He will roll on his side and lift his arm up like he is waiting for you to lay it down.
-Sleeps 8-8 every night with 2 naps during the day at 10 and 3.
-Wakes up once a night. It was 2-3 times a night for a couple of weeks, but he has been back to only getting up once a night for the last week and a half.
-He has slept through the night 3 times in the last week and a half, so there's hope.
-Stands for a few seconds without support. He only does this when he wants to. You absolutely cannot make him stand without holding onto anything unless he wants to. He can lower himself slowly to the ground rather than just falling and reaching for the floor.
-He is more likely to stand without support if he has something in his hands. (water bottle, toy, etc.)
-Sleeps in the corners of his crib on his stomach.
-Has figured out how to turn his push toy around so now walking with it is all that he ever does.
-Has 2 (top) teeth that are coming in. We expect them to pop through any day. We're surprised that they haven't popped through yet since we can see the whiteness of the tooth and feel it bulging in the gum.
-LOVES his father. He is ecstatic when his dad gets home. He crawls over to him as fast as he can the second he walks in the door.
-Tilts his head and smiles at you
-Growls. I think he likes the vibration in his throat
-Has added vaaa and gaaa into his daily vocabulary
-LOVED LOVED LOVED the hot springs. For the first 10 minutes he just sat on our laps still as can be, then he got comfortable and splashed around.
-Tries to put his binky in other people's mouths, especially other babies.

Laughing so hard after I whipped Taylor with a towel for sassing me.
Of course we had to keep doing it since he thought it was so funny.

He has learned that he can stand up in his high chair.
He has also learned that he can be strapped in to his high chair.
& Practicing his standing before bed
Terrible quality pictures, but he can be sweet when he wants to
Weekend trip to see his great grandma Thomas. (to be blogged about eventually)
&Sucking on the blind. It's one of his favorite past times.
Standing like a big boy
Cookie monster
& Somehow he got himself stuck in the center of the stool.
He loves to crawl all over the car seat
& straight up lounging
His love for this table has been found again. Except now he won't crawl off of it on his own.
& Standing so handsome at church
Blurry hands because some part of him always has to be moving.
