A Hudson Update

I'm grateful that I did monthly updates for the first year of Hudson's life, but at 15 months I realize so much has changed that I can't help but do another update. He is at such a fun age! And let's be honest, updating the blog on our life right now is really updating the blog on what Hudson is doing.

-21 pounds 7 ounces (28th percentile) He's getting a little chunky compared to being in the 15th percentile for weight at his 12 month checkup :)
He had his 15 month checkup yesterday, and he is a healthy boy!
-30 and 1/4 inches long (18th percentile)
-He wears mostly 12 month clothing but a lot of 12 month pants are still too big and long on him.
-We just switched him to size 4 diapers 2 or 3 weeks ago.
-Drinks a sippy cup of milk in the morning and before bed. We did away with bottles completely just before he turned 13 months old
-He still loves his pacifier and needs it to fall asleep. He was never one to care if had it throughout the day, but now we really try to only give it to him when he is in his crib. I'm pretty sure he will still be using his pacifier to fall asleep when he's 18. At least it will keep away the ladies ;)
-Eats anything and everything. Favorites include but are not limited to: bananas, yogurt, spaghetti, french fries, goldfish, cheese, fruit loops, oranges
-LOVES to dance. Whenever he hears music he spins in circles, bounces up and down, and/or marches in place. He likes to head bang to music when he is in his car seat.
-Has started to "sing" when we sing at church or other times
-Talks ALL the time, but he still doesn't really say any words. We're hoping for his first words any time now.
-Knows "more" in sign language and we're working on thank you
-Thinks peek-a-boo is the funnest and funniest game ever invented. He will play it with his hands over his eyes, or he will hide behind something (slide, hat, couch, wall) and peek his head out
-Has learned how to throw a mean tantrum. Throwing himself on the floor, kicking, screaming and all. You have to love this age.
-He really, really, really loves to talk on the phone. He will carry our cell phones around held up to his ear and talk and talk.
-He does this super weird and funny thing where he rolls his eyes into the back of his head, giggles, and then does it again and again. He thinks he is hilarious. We have no idea why he started to do it, but it is pretty funny/creepy.
-Loves to stand on the couch and look out the window
-Is super attached to his blue elephant. He carries it around all the time, and snuggles up to it every night to sleep with it. He also loves sleeping with his tractor pillow pet.

He is really into sitting on things right now. Balls, toys, blocks. You name it and he will try sitting on it.
We have since kicked this slide outside, but he spent a lot of time perched on top.
He is pictured here "talking" on the remote.

We made the mistake of bringing Hudson to Taylor's work when the oil needed changed in our car.
He got SO stinking dirty.
The pure joy in his cute face. He really loves yogurt, and he really loves feeding himself.

Sitting on Taylor or I is a favorite pastime as well.
His moccasins got wet while playing outside, so we put them on Taylor's boot dryer.

He is kind of obsessed with brushing his teeth.

Anything and EVERYTHING gets put in this dino.

Sitting on a toy once again. Look at that gut!
Relaxing.

As I was shopping at Old Navy one day Taylor decided to treat Hudson to a ride on one of the animals at the mall. He was in heaven.
Hudson's new way of playing with his little red car. It's like he is trying to give me a heart attack.

When you just want to relax, but you have some computer work to do haha.
