Pennsylvania trip: Time in New York

Hiking Watkins Glen is something that my family has done for as long as they have been visiting Palmyra.
It is a gorgeous hike, and if you walk down the glen, then it is easy.

We visited different church sites while in Palmyra including the Grandin Building, the Sacred Grave, and the Hill Cumorah.

You can see the Angel Moroni from the path that leads to the Sacred Grove.

It's becoming a tradition to stop at the Syracuse mall to race go-karts on the way home.
The boys love doing it.

After this mini trip we went back to my parents' house, went to the county fair, dealt with my sister's breaking down car, and all too soon our trip ended.
I truly don't understand how eight days can go by so dang fast.

Until next time Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania Trip: Sealed

Our main reason for going back to Pennsylvania was to get sealed in the Palmyra, New York temple. It was the perfect day and the perfect experience. It was a small sealing with just members of our immediate families there. Taylor is mine forever and ever. Our marriage will no longer end when our life on earth is over. Getting sealed to Taylor was so special, but knowing that there is a baby growing inside of me that is now sealed to us as well gave the experience a whole new meaning.

Pennsylvania Trip: Just the beginning

Visiting my family is my favorite vacation that we take. We went to Pennsylvania for a week, and it was my favorite trip back there yet. We spent time in Palmyra, New York and visited church sites, walked down Watkins Glen, spent time at my family's lake house, revealed then gender to my family, watched the boys go-kart in the Syracuse mall, and squeezed in so much more in our short time there. Here are some pictures from our time there.

We hit a bird on our way to Salt Lake, and it got stuck in our wiper.
It was the grossest, funniest thing.

It turns out that they will let you on a plane with anyone's baby if you have a ticket for the child.

Cupcakes with blue icing inside.

4 months pregnant while tubing with my sister-in-law.
Dad took it way easy for me, and not being able to lay down made it interesting enough.

There are plenty more pictures to come. Don't you worry :)

We're Homeowners!

So, we're homeowners.
How did that happen?
No more apartment number in our address.
No more sharing walls with neighbors.
No more white walls everywhere.
No more throwing money away and never seeing it again. (At least $8,000 down the drain since we got married. Ouch.)
We can play music as loud as we want.
We can jump up and down on the floors.
We can do whatever we want any time of the day.
I think I'm going to like this.

I've got four weeks until a new semester starts and the baby is due a week after it ends.  That means there will be a lot of work going on in the next couple weeks to make this place exactly how we want it to be. We've got most things unpacked at this point and have started on a couple of projects. I'm so happy with the choice that we made to buy a house. It's perfect for us, and I'm quickly realizing that it truly was the best thing for us to do at this time.
