April

April kicked off with Easter weekend.
It also happened to be General Conference weekend.
I don't love when General Conference and Easter fall on the same weekend, but I do love any good excuse to make homemade cinnamon rolls so I won't complain too much.
We started the festivities off with an egg hunt in the Bush's backyard.
The kids got tons of eggs, it lasted longer than 5 seconds, and they didn't have to stand out in the cold for forever while waiting for it to start.
Definitely the way to go!
Hudson was super into finding all the eggs he could.
Ella on the other hand didn't really care about it haha.
I did convince her to pick up a couple eggs.
I like to think that we keep things fairly simple for Easter baskets, but this pictures makes it look bigger than I remember...
We ended up returning the little kitchen sink and getting Ella a pet unicorn thing that you can "walk" instead.
The funniest moment of the whole day.
After biting off both ends of his hollow chocolate bunny, Hudson decided to use it like a telescope.
We all laughed so hard when he turned around and had chocolate around his eyes from playing with it.

The great hail storm of April 2018......
Mention it to anyone in Idaho Falls, and they will know exactly what you are talking about.
I was running into one last store real quick before we headed home to hopefully beat the storm.
Well, as I walked out of Hobby Lobby the hail started coming down. The hail only last 5-10 minutes, but it packed a punch. We were in poor Taylor's truck which ended up with 7,000ish dollars worth of damage, and our house now needs its roof replaced, the shed roof replaced, and a few other minor things fixed all due to the storm.
Thank goodness for insurance!

Our zoo membership expired at the end of April, so we made sure we went plenty of times before it ended.

Ella had her 18 month check up.

18 months meant that Ella started going to the nursery class at church.
I got put in as a nursery helper a few weeks after Ella started going, so it has been fun to watch her learn and grow.

For our 5 year anniversary we went to Jackson Hole for a day while Taylor's parents hung out with the kids.
We ate at a pizza place for lunch, stopped at a few stores, drove around to look at some of the scenery, got ice cream on the way home, and enjoyed the time without kids.
We got back to Idaho Falls early enough that we decided to run to Sams Club while we were kid free to pick up a couple things. The time away was nice, and it was nice to return home to our sweet kiddos who didn't really seem to miss us at all.
Huge thank you to Taylor's parents for making that day possible!

Ella came down with pink eye late one Sunday afternoon.
We contemplated taking her in that Sunday, but just weren't sure that it actually was pink eye because here eye wasn't all that red/pink. We ended up deciding to wait until the morning and see how it was doing, and she woke up with it in both eyes so total parent fail on our part.
Thankfully after a quick visit to her pediatrician, a prescription, and a few treatments later she was doing much better.

One day we had some crazy winds all day long.
I opened our mudroom door just after 4:15, looked around, and quickly realized something was different. Our cloth shed was missing! I looked around the backyard and then ran to look out the dining room window to see it across the street in the neighbors front yard. I threw on a jacket and a pair of sandals and ran to get it before it damaged the neighbors house. I dragged it back across the street and realized that there was no way I could get it over our fence.
I called Taylor and filled him in with what was happening. He quickly left work, but it would still take him 15ish minutes to get home. I had no choice but to stand there and hold onto the shed so it wouldn't blow away again while I waited for Taylor. At this point our old man neighbor, Bob, decided to come over and try to help. What an 80 year old man was going to be able to do was beyond me. As he was standing by the shed a big gust of wind came and shifted the shed knocking Bob the the ground and hurting his knee. He went to the doctors after the incident, so that made us feel great.
Hudson went back inside during all of this, but Ella insisted on staying with me in the cold with no shoes or jacket on..
Our friend/neighbor, Will, showed up just a few minutes before Taylor and helped us out.
The shed got put back over the fence, weighed down, and all was well in the end.
A short while later we staked the shed down realllllll good, so that won't ever happen to us again.

Baby #3: 36 Week Bumpdate

Pictured at 35 and a half weeks

How far along? 36 weeks now
Total weight gain: 15 pounds
Maternity clothes: Maternity shorts and dresses, basketball shorts, and loose skirts are my staples this summer.
Sleep: What is sleep?? Ella has had a really hard time since we took away her bottle and then put her and Hudson into bunk beds, so I've been up with her at least once a night lately if not more. Couple Ella's problems with my hip/sciatica hurting making it hard to fall asleep and waking up to pee and I'm basically not getting a whole lot of sleep these days.
Best moment this week: Getting away from Idaho Falls/Taylor's work for a day on Saturday with some friends to go riding in Bancroft. Harvest season hasn't been fun for any of us, so it was nice to get out and go on an adventure. The kids had a great time, and Taylor loved getting to ride again.
Miss anything? Not being pregnant....
Movement: SUPER active! She easily is more active than both Hudson and Ella were. She's always moving around every night from 9-11ish.
Food cravings: Otter pops, but I think I just like them period and not because I'm pregnant haha.
Anything making you sick or queasy: The acid reflux gets to me some nights and makes my stomach hurt, but otherwise nothing.
Gender: Girl.
Labor signs: Braxton Hicks contractions, but otherwise nothing major. And I know that BH contractions aren't really a sign of labor, but they give me some hope that I won't be pregnant for forever.
Symptoms: Acid reflux, hip/sciatic pain (It's SO bad this pregnancy), peeing all the time, short of breath, Braxton Hicks contractions. Knock on wood, but I haven't gotten swollen ankles or anything which makes me happy.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? Mostly on. Some afternoons after I've been busy doing things all day it gets a little uncomfortable and I have to take it off. That doesn't happen super often though.
Looking forward to: Meeting this baby girl in just a few short weeks! I'm so excited to get to snuggle a newborn again. I can't wait to watch Hudson and Ella with a new baby and see how they mature and grow with this big change.

March

I had to start getting creative with Ella's mullet in order to hide it at least a little bit.
I was pretty proud of myself on this given day because it was the first time I had done anything more than simple pigtails or a ponytail with her hair.

The kids and I walked to the bank that is practically just around the corner from our house so I could open up a separate bank account to use for my small etsy business.
It went about how well you would expect it to go hahaha.
Things really weren't too bad until their computer started to give some issues and made it take way longer than it should have, but we survived.

We made snow cream!
Which can only be made with freshly fallen snow.
It was a total flashback to my dad making it for us when we were kids.

Hudson always picks out his jammies, and on this random night he came out of his room with his Cars pajamas. Somehow a random pair of size 12 month bottoms were in the drawer and he happened to grab them. We tried telling him they were too small, but he didn't care haha.
It finally warmed up enough towards the end of the month to put the trampoline we got in October to use. The kids and I spent many afternoons soaking in the sun and jumping around.

February

Hudson helped me make our traditional Valentine's Day sugar cookies.
Apparently, it was just before bedtime when we made them because that's the only time he wears a diaper.
We closed up the flour while cleaning up, but left it on the table without thinking much about it. The next morning Hudson helped himself to the flour and made a lovely mess in our dining room. Thankfully, it wasn't anything the vacuum and a washcloth couldn't take care of.
Our Valentine's Day was low key.
We hung out at home all day and ate more cookies than we should have :)
Taylor and I got each other nothing, and celebrated the evening at home with a decently nice dinner.

We had our first appointment for baby number 3.
I love getting an official due date, and seeing the heart beat on the ultrasound.
It makes it so much more real and gives you at least a little bit of comfort during the first trimester.

Hudson had his first real teeth cleaning.
That display case is full of cars from the Cars movie. He could have stood there and looked at them all day long if I let him.
Trying to get x-rays of his molars was hilarious because he couldn't figure out how to keep the guard thing in the place they needed it, but otherwise everything went really well.
He got to watch Cars 3 as the dental hygienist cleaned his teeth, which was an added bonus for him.
We were very happy to hear that he was cavity free, and Hudson was happy with his little goody bag of dental supplies and the small toy he got to pick out on the way out of the office.
When you turn away from watching the kids play with a sensory bin for two seconds and Ella decides to get a little crazy....
