Thanksgiving 2015: Hudson's First Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving this year (and every year) with Taylor's family. We went down a couple of nights before the big day since there was a snowstorm that was supposed to hit the day before Thanksgiving and because Taylor's grandparents were coming into town and we wanted them to be able to spend more time with Hudson.

Hudson went to class with  me Tuesday morning.
He was a great distraction.
He helped me tidy up the house before we left.

Hudson got to spend plenty of time playing with his great grandparents

I wanted to get a decent picture of Hudson in his Thanksgiving shirt.
These were amongst the first attempts.
The boy just wouldn't hold still.

So, we took him outside where I knew he wouldn't run away in the freshly fallen snow.
He was completely mesmerised by it.
I had to have Taylor hold his hands, so he would stop touching the snow long enough to take a picture that showed his face.

The day before Thanksgiving Taylor and I went hunting for the perfect Christmas tree for Taylor's parents' house. We actually brought back 5 perfect trees :)
It was nice to get away on a mini adventure while the multitude of grandparents watched Hudson.

Hudson received some late/early presents while we were there from his great grandparents.
His great grandpa painted him this incredible painting that is his Christmas present this year.
It is now hanging in Hudson's room.
He also got a new fancy towel with his name on it from his great grandma.
Everyone received towels for Christmas last year from them, but with Hudson being born so close to Christmas she didn't have time to make it.

Wednesday evening and Thursday after eating the girls crafted.
It was so nice to get a break from schoolwork and do something that I really enjoy doing.

On Friday we did a little bit of shopping and put up our Christmas tree.
Hudson has enjoyed carrying around ornaments and disassembling our Christmas tree.
