Oh my goodness where did October go?!
It came and went way too fast.
Our month started off with a bang with Ella being born on the 3rd.
We'll start out with some random pictures from the month..
One Saturday morning Hudson was being a little energetic toddler and using the broom as his choice of weapon. It was both hilarious and terrifying at the same time.
Hudson has been obsessed with all of the baby products in the house.
& Halloween crafting
I stayed home from church with Ella the first Sunday after she was born. This was a snapchat that I received from Taylor.
Put Ella in anything blue and she looks like Hudson did as a baby.
(She wasn't that yellow in real life)
10 Days with Poppy & Gigi
My parents came out to visit for 10 days to help with Ella and to see us Hudson.
We packed in as much fun as we could in the short time that they were here.
Hudson and my mom made our traditional Halloween sugar cookies.
He put his M&M's in the measuring cup, tried to roll over already cut out cookies, and poked cut out cookies.
I think he about killed my baking perfectionist mother.
Hudson and my dad were best buddies.
He had so much fun playing with Poppy all day long
We made multiple trips to Reed's Dairy because my dad loves it.
Hudson certainly didn't mind it either.
We went to Grace for a few hours one of the days they were out here.
Taylor's mom had a delicious lunch waiting for us when we finally made it down there.
After lunch they shot guns for a little while and then we all went riding.
Boo at the Zoo
My parents and sister came with us to Boo at the Zoo.
Hudson was kind of confused at first, but he got got the hang of trick or treating there very quickly.
Pretty soon he was running up to the booths and putting his bucket towards them.
He LOVED seeing all of the animals and all of the Halloween decorations.
He said "wow" countless times as we walked around the zoo.
Afterwards we went to Costa Vida for dinner because my mom is a big fan and had to get her fix while they were out here.
Ella's Blessing
We blessed Ella on October 30th.
It was so great to get to spend time with family.
Here is Ella with my Aunt Beckie, her Great Grandma Linda, and my Aunt Terri after the blessing.
A more detailed post on the blessing can be found
here.
Pumpkin Carving
He was SO funny to clean out the pumpkin with.
He refused to touch the guts and would freak out if the guts touched him.
He was very insistent that the guts needed to go back in the pumpkin, and so he put the guts back in the pumpkin over and over again.
Halloween
Halloween was SO much fun this year. Our ward's trunk or treat was on Halloween this year, so my parents came with us and took him around to all of the cars.
picture overload, and I don't even care.
These two melt my heart.
While we were at the trunk or treat Hudson climbed in the back of our car with me and then climbed down as I was passing out candy. While Taylor was talking to someone Hudson came up to me and handed me a lollipop wrapper. I asked Taylor if he had given him the lollipop and he told me that he hadn't. The little stinker had gotten it out of his bucket that was in the car and helped himself to it without either of us realizing.
He had insane amounts of energy and giggles, so we took him to a few houses on our street once we got home to burn off some of his sugar high.
Unfortunately, it was my parents last night here, so the rest of the evening was filled with packing and goodbyes.
And that's a wrap!
October, you were so, so good to us!
