December brought more house selling/buying things.
We got the official sold sign, and began packing up our house.
When you have to move a Christmas tree that's already decorated...
One last look at the now empty house that holds SO many memories for us.
We signed the papers on both houses simultaneously and closed one chapter of our lives as we opened a new one. Taylor and I moved pretty much everything we owned into the garage ourselves before closing day, but thankfully we had his dad, brother, uncle, and cousin there to help us move everything into the house. Other than the fact that it was December and cold, it all went pretty smoothly.
Avery turned 3 months old which meant she was old enough to get her ears pierced.
Oh man the number of times we went to the dermatologist for Ella's pointer finger and thumb on her left hand. They diagnosed her with eczema of the fingertips which doesn't sound like a big deal (and it's not really), but finding something that actually helped it proved to be difficult.
It took us 3-4 visits and a last ditch effort by the doctor, but something meant for psoriasis ended up being the only thing that made any sort of a difference.
We spent one Saturday avoiding all of the craziness of selling a house and packing and went to Salt Lake City to see the lights at temple square.
Hot churros from a food truck were the perfect treat before driving home.
Hudson turned FOUR!
We let him open one of his presents before Taylor left for work and after I set the gift in front of him he looked at us and said, "You have to sing to me first."
He got a Jackson Storm car hauler and a Lightning McQueen bicycle.
We went into his 4 year old check up thinking he wouldn't be getting his kindergarten shots yet, but I was very wrong. He spent much of the appointment hiding under the bench in fear.
I wasted no time getting started on house projects. I spent the week leading up to Christmas tiling in the kitchen. It was a bit time consuming but overall not that hard, and I loved learning a new skill. (although I had previously done the smallest amount of tiling in our old house)
Taylor hung up the open shelves on Christmas day with the help of my brother.
Ella started to get scared and nervous when we walked up to see Santa, so they did a little bit different than your normal Santa picture for us so we didn't have crying kids in the picture.

Again selling and buying a new house during the holidays isn't easy.

My brother came up on Christma day after getting a bit lost and driving through some crappy weather. The kids loved all of the games he got for our family.
Taylor's parents also came up on Christmas and his younger brother and his wife were at our house for a little while as well.
