A Surprise Christmas in Pennsylvania

15 days before Christmas I was driving home from school when the thought came to me that we needed to go home for Christmas. We looked at tickets and decided that night that we would be going. The best deal that we could find had us leaving at midnight on Christmas Eve and getting to the closest airport to my parents at 9:15 Christmas morning. We made a decision to keep it a surprise from everyone but my sister since it was so close to Christmas. It was the best thing ever.

Because I have started student teaching I don't have time to separate the pictures into appropriate blog posts, so you get a photo dump. Here we go!

We had our Christmas on Christmas Eve.
Hudson loved his gifts and is still so interested in all of them.
He also got a slide from his Grandma and Grandpa Lloyd

This picture sums up our traveling out there pretty well.
Hudson slept in his car seat from the time we took off on our first flight until the time that we boarded our plane on our second flight.

This reaction made flying through the night and not sleeping all worth it.

Raelyn was a fan of him
He was terrified of my brother's dog which left him hiding on the couches behind people.

Grandchildren/cousins, Poppy, and trains. Couldn't ask for more on Christmas day.

Christmas day trampoline time because it was weirdly warm in Pennsylvania with a high of at least 60 on Christmas day.

Holding hands while we were on our way to shop. Too stinking cute!

Maverick hates selfies with his Aunt Rachel
& Hudson insisted on holding on to Maverick while trying to keep up with him.
He pretty much got drug around.

Hudson looked super handsome at church on Sunday thanks to his Aunt Rebekah.

All of the current Thomas grandchildren.
Hudson 1. Raelyn 3. Maverick 20 months. Xavier 9 months.

Jared and Amanda hosted everyone for dinner. It was super yummy!
After dinner we had a game night.

Playing with Poppy's trains

We played ticket to ride.
Brei won.

We spent a lot of time visiting my grandma in rehab.
She had her hip replaced 4 days before Christmas.

I had the opportunity to visit my favorite hairstylist while my sister got her hair cut.
I just wish that she would move to Idaho.

We went to wing night at a local restaurant. So good!
Hudson gave his Aunt Rebekah some sass.

Goodbye trip to see Grandma

Love this momma of mine!

Hours were spent with this boy wandering around the airport.

Our trip was SO good!
Im extremely grateful that we were able to go out there as I had not been home for Christmas since before we got married.
It was great to be able to spend time with my family.
Hopefully we will go home in July, but only our bank account will tell if that is going to happen ;)
